Great piece but I'd like to say somethign about the message if I may.

I'm an Australian and I've seen socialism at work. On the surface the gradual reforms look great, especialy when it comes to diamond encrusted job entitlements like leave loading (old Mr. Kelly at the corner store has to pay you more when you're on hollidays) and all the social services and welfare we all take for granted. But that's the problem, we all take the staggering list of honours and priveleges we're given for granted, and so we only ever complain when we're not given more.

That's where the Labor Party come in. Whereas the more management minded politicians, those who actually know how to sustainably run a country, will do things that, while unpopular, are necessary for continuing our way of life, the guys in Labor will tell everyone that they'll basically give them everything under the sun. Examples are the farcial National Broadband Network, the somewhat less farcial Education Revolution, and the really really farcial Emisions Trading Scheme.

They pay for all these golden gifts by massively raising taxes, especialy on businesses, such as the Mining Super Tax. Any old halfwit can see that it's a lethal mixture of short-sightedness and greed that, if left unchecked by the voters as it has been, will lead to our economy crumbling like a tower of cards, leaving us bankrupt and with millions out of jobs just like PIIGS.

No. It wouldn't. I'd rather the productive members of society have more, as they provide more value. Without incentives to work, why work?

I'm so happy there's so many other socialists here.. but I can't seem find any group to unite us all besides for our beliefs. I suppose idividual work can be as strong as work from a group, as this picture of yours here demonstrates.
